Evacuation insurance with Chase Reserve Credit Card

Has any one used the Chase Reserve credit card to prove evacuation and medical insurance to enter the Galapagos Islands?

I was given the Guide to Benefits as proof.  They do not have an actual policy to give. Will showing the guide work?

Is there a minimum requirement for medical coverage to enter the Islands? CSR provides only $2,500 in medical.

I doubt that submitting the Benefits Guide would be sufficient. See if you can contact Chase and get a letter from them attesting that you have evacuation coverage through their travel benefits and that you are in good standing. That still may not be enough because a credit card can be cancelled at any time or revoked; therefore, it does not have the standing of a purchased policy.

 

Don’t you have guidelines from the entity requiring this documentation explaining what forms of proof are acceptable?
