Has it been 30 years?? I did not know that nicko cruises has been around for so long. Still, it makes the company younger than CroisiEurope, Plantours Kreuzfahrten and Phoenix Reisen. So, in a German-European context not that old. The company is older than Viking Flusskreuzfahrten/Viking River Cruises and Avalon Waterways for example.

 

I have known nicko cruises from advertising, i.e. newspapers, magazines and travel agents since about 2005. Before that I had no real interest in river cruising.

 

The rebranding. Just some info in brief today. Here is the change, very little to be seen in effect actually, in two advertising videos, made more or less five years apart:

The rebranding sounds a bit, err, grander in the press release. But I will get back to the subject another time.
