hallasm Posted April 6, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2022 In addition to considering the two cruise lines, you may also want to consider the differences in the itinerary. There is a very big difference between the individual ports in Norway.
Rare John Bull Posted April 6, 2022 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2022 Be aware that cruising Princess will involve higher on-board costs. On Princess there's service charge of about $13 per day per person, there's no daily service charge on P&O. P&O drinks prices are about the same as in a decent pub, and the price you see is the price you pay. Princess drinks are generally more expensive, and there's a 15% service charge on top. So bear that in mind when comparing prices. P&O is very British, and - like Marella - the clientele is almost 100% British. Princess is what I'd describe as "mid-Atlantic", not as brash as NCL but not as bland as P&O., and with a more-international clientele. Both are large ships, but Iona is significantly bigger than Sky Princess. JB 🙂
