matymil Posted April 13, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2022 Just got this email. Biggest take away is those sailing with kids under 5 do not have to pay for testing anymore which is awesome. April 12, 2022Dear Carnival Guest, Our records show that you have applied for a vaccination exemption or are traveling with a child age 11 or under. We want to provide you with an update regarding shore excursions and testing requirements for unvaccinated guests. SHORE EXCURSIONS Unvaccinated guests age 12 and older cannot go ashore in the ports of call on their own and guests may only debark if booked on a Carnival tour. Guests are no longer restricted to “bubble” tours (as had been required). If you had purchased a “bubble” tour, it will be converted to the equivalent of a non-bubble tour. We invite you to visit Carnival.com to review our tour options in the event you wish to make an alternate selection. Unvaccinated children age 11 and under are not required to purchase a Carnival shore excursion and may participate in self-guided or independent exploration with their vaccinated parents/guardians. Please read specific requirements for certain destinations here. TESTING As a reminder, in accordance with CDC guidelines, unvaccinated guests, age two and older, must take a pre-cruise PCR test prior to arriving at the terminal and then an antigen test in the embarkation terminal. On cruises longer than 4 days, guests will receive an antigen test within 24 hours prior to debarkation which will be administered on board the ship. Because children under the age of 5 are not able to be vaccinated, testing will be provided on a complimentary basis for kids ages 2-4. The testing charge for children ages 5-11 has been lowered to US$60 while unvaccinated guests age 12 and older will continue to be charged US$150 per person. Testing and reporting charges will be assessed to the guest’s onboard account. To remain up to date on the requirements for unvaccinated guests, please visit our Have Fun. Be Safe. page here. Guests who arrive at the embarkation terminal without the required documentation may be subject to testing fees, or not be able to cruise and no refund will be issued. We are looking forward to welcoming you aboard for a FUN and memorable cruise.Sincerely, Colleen Oliverio VP, Guest Services - Contact Centers
