Booking on the MSC Italy website

Given the current exchange rate of USD and Euro, has anyone every booked directly on the MSC Italy website?  While my Italian in rudimentary from what I can tell in a mock booking - even with a 25 Euro PP Covid Insurance the savings would be significant at the fares include Gratuities/Service Charges.  Any issues that we might encounter if we book this way?

Bumping this topic.  I did a mock booking of 12 June 2022 on Divina in YC.  If I booked on the Italian site it was $4088 (converted to USD) including the mandatory Covid insurance.  If I book on the US site it is $5798.  That's SIGNFICANT.  Has anyone booked this way to take advantage of culinary fluctuations??

Not to take advantage of "culinary" fluctuations!  Always do it only for climate fluctuations!😄

 

Honestly, it would be nice to know if we could take advantage of monetary differences.  I have read that UK members cannot take advantage of occasional US discounts, but not sure if booking restrictions to one's home only is widespread

@JAGR bwhahaha... guess I was hungry or my autocorrect took over!  The only issue that I can find is that when doing the booking on the Italian website it assumes that your country of residence is Italy.  After that, however, you can put in a US address as well as US passport info, etc.  I'd try to call the US call center but we all know how that would turn out 🤔

I live in Spain and did a whole bunch of mock bookings for Seascape next July with different MSC sites. (UK, Spain, US, Canadian) and UK was best price for us,so booked.
