In new york it's generally the same as the threshold needed to get paid by an attendant as opposed to getting a ticket at cashout. Also, they will keep 30% as withholding and the only way to get it back is by getting a 1099G and filing it with your return.  On ship, I'm not at all certain if they will. I'm also not sure, when the amount is large, how exactly that would work when declaring the cash upon return to the US. unfortunately, I've never really had that problem. Of course, as in the US, multiple small wins that add up are not reported or deducted from for tax purposes.

I am the OP. I don't have to concern myself with how to use $1700+ in OBC for my June 2 cruise, as my partner tested positive, so we won't be going. 😒

 

Now I just need to figure out the process so we can hopefully reschedule.
