Hi,

We are cruising on Emerald Princess in March and are looking at visiting the botanical gardens and going for a stroll around Fort de France and walking back to the ship. How easy is it to get to the gardens from the port and back to Fort de France and is it walkable back to the ship.

Thanks

The gardens are about 7 miles from FDF with plenty of taxis available.  Budget about €20.00 each way.

FDF is a French working port town, traffic, offices, shops, supermarkets etc.  Think Calais.    It is definitely not a typical Caribbean Island town that some may have in their minds.

Best souvenir is found in the Duty Free - La Favorite La Filbuste Rhum
