Downgrade cabin AFTER final payment

I just called RC to downgrade from a balcony cabin to an inside cabin (for a reason) and the rep told me the price would not change since it’s after final payment. There is a $500 difference. I thought the difference would be given back in OBC. Is this true or did I speak with a rep that didn’t know the correct answer?

No credit for downgrading after final.

 

You might as well say why you are doing this (the downgrade) as everyone will want to know.
