NCL Introduces new "Free At Sea Plus" Packages

Only time will tell I guess. I don’t even know if I want the air promo. I prefer to do my own air but no harm leaving it there until I decide. It is only a little over an hour flight so how bad could it be😉. Last time I swore I would never use it again but booking my own didn’t go very smoothly my last cruise with all the Memorial Day flight cancellations and I was stuck in Miami for 2 extra days.

Yes we both have Free at Sea however we booked this trip over a year ago and my TA said internet was not part of the promo at the time. I have to do some more digging...

I finally received my confirmation but had to call. It is not showing on my account but I was assured it is there.

 

I am not very technologically inclined so hopefully my screen shots show that I have the free at sea plus

Traveling with kids and grandkids. Told TA to add it to their cabin. They need the Wi-Fi more than me! We’re platinum so we already have 2 extra meals and enough internet for us. They’ll enjoy the Starbucks too. Unfortunately I think they will still have to get the kids soda packages so they can get by themselves.

hard to tell from your previous message as I don't know the costs, but it does seem like its all good....really wish they could apply these promo's evenly across the board..

I think you just need to find the right person to talk to. I go through Casinos at Sea and they are very helpful most times I call.

In case it helps anyone, spoke via Chat - £330 for my 10 Day Cruise.


Pretty good value, on my last 7 day I purchased all three. Restaurant staff were confused when I ordered a bottle of Moet with breakfast one morning mind!

For those that have added the Free at Sea Plus, how long did it take to see it in the app/web page for your sailing?  I have the confirmation and amenity confirmation from my TA that shows that everything was added two days ago but what I can see for the sailing is still not showing the upgrades, it is still showing them as available to upgrade individually.  (I do not have NCL air for those having that issue).

I am 3 days and I have the same issue, can't see them on my account and can still upgrade individually and I have the confirmations from NCL.  The Rep I spoke to told me it is a technical issue and should eventually show up.  In other words he really had not clue.

I purchased it over the phone a few days ago, and I got an e-mail with an updated amenity listing. IIRC, my cruise summary still didn't show it, and even today I can go on to the NCL site and purchase each upgrade individually. They haven't removed those options, and based on what I hear about the quality of the NCL site, I doubt they will.

Thanks for letting me know that I am not alone in this issue.  We still have a little time before our sailing so hopefully it gets resolved soon.  I will keep watching it and have my TA ask if she has a reason to call in the next few days.  If it doesn't show up in another week, I will pursue it further.  Just want to make sure we don't have issues onboard.  We had that once with my daughter and her friend and spent the first 2 days of the sailing at Guest Services getting everything fixed - good thing I brought their confirmations with me.

Make sure you keep your confirmations they emailed to you.  The ones on your NCL account do not show the promo codes which I find very annoying because they did in the past pre pandemic. I don't think we should have to rely on an email when it is just easier to have it on your account.

I totally agree, it should just be there for anyone to see. I always keep my e-mails but will definitely print it out pre-cruise just in case we have any issues, so thank you for the suggestion.

 

What I also think is funny is that our amenity listing shows we have regular Free at Sea and Free at Sea Plus amenities, meaning it shows the premium beverage package and the premium plus beverage package, as well as the 150 minutes of wifi and unlimited wifi, etc.

I was, but I jumped onto the bandwagon the morning it first appeared, so maybe they didn't have that restriction programmed yet.

As you said, you definitely want to have the printed confirmations with you and don't rely on email on your phone unless you can access it without wifi/cell.  I was not able to pull up the confirmations on my phone for my daughter and her friend, even with the ship's wifi, when we had an issue and had to get our printed copies from our cabin to resolve our issues.  Unfortunately, all the issues did not show up for us all at once, so we were at Guest services multiple times the first 2 days.  It turned out that they didn't have any of their Free at Sea or their pre-paid gratuities entered on their accounts and they hadn't noticed online.

Thanks for letting me know . I assume that might be a reason, but it’s been hit and miss it seems as to who can and cannot add this. I will keep trying that’s for sure !
