MissMichelle Posted July 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2022 Sailing on the Mardi Gras in 3 weeks and tested positive for COVID this week. The website says a document of recovery can be used instead of having a COVID test and "consists of a paper or electronic copy of the positive viral test result from a certified laboratory (dated no more than 90 days prior to the sailing date). Is that all you need? Has anyone used this recently?

Is that all you need? Has anyone used this recently? In May I just had to show my positive test from the month before. I had checked with John Heald before I cruised to verify what a document of recovery was, and I was told just the proof of positive test. Enjoy your cruise and I hope you are feeling better! Purvis1231 Posted July 24, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 24, 2022 Right- the document of recovery is simply a copy of the positive lab test from a certified lab. I too contact Carnival and email my document to them prior to the cruise. (We decided at the last minute to retest so we could use VeriFly since in my state they still offered free testing at that time.) Enjoy your cruise.
