Has anyone pre-booked an Uber for pickup at PC upon disembarkation?

Just wondering if it worked since you can now book them in advance?  Would like to book my return pickup before I leave for the trip

I just pre-booked an UBER twice in San Pedro for our RCCL cruise.  The ride to the port I did the night before when I found out the hotel shuttle was full.  The ride from the port back to the hotel where we left the car I booked the day before while at sea.  It worked great both times.  I met people at the port waiting for 30 minutes for their ride to show or to even get a confirmed ride.  Mine showed up early and was waiting for us.

We never pre book Uber.  We wait until we need it, or within 5-10 minutes.  Never had a problem.

At San Pedro last month people were waiting 30 minutes to get an UBER and some couldn't even get a driver to take the pick up.  Even our first UberXL black driver canceled and we had to get a second one.  Luckily, she should up early and we only had to wait a few minutes.
