Questions about the HUB app chat feature

This is my first time using the HUB app and I plan on purchasing the chat feature so that my family and I can keep in touch while on ship. However, I have some questions if anyone can help me out.

1. Does your name show up to all other cruise guests? Can a random cruiser send me a message?

2. Can you chat in a language other than English? (given that my family and I have the specific language installed on our phones)

A random cruiser can not send you a message.  You have to put contact info into the app for your name to appear in the other person’s app.  It’s pretty straightforward.

 

Not sure about other languages, but I assume it’s no different than any other texting app.

it will show you the people that are linked to your bookings and you just click the box of the person you want to chat... what i have done in the past is one group chat for everyone to let people know what time is dinner etc. and you can break it down from there to whomever you want to chat with... well worth the $5 for me.
