GETAWAY not going to DR on current cruise 10/15-10/22?

Hi there fellow travelers! My son and his wife are on the Getaway now and I just got a brief text from them saying they didn't get to enjoy the private island due to weather and the ship is not going to the DR today. Anyone know why?

We are on the next cruise. I too am curious why they aren’t going to DR. Missing the private island seems to be a normal thing so Won’t be surprised if that happens.

 

I have been trying to find out from last week cruisers or this week what days Million Dollar Quartet is showing. I just want a little bit of preparedness before I board.

We have a 12 day on the Getaway in January. I wouldn't mind seeing DR replaced by something else

Was a reason not given to them on-board?  When I was on the Joy this Spring and we skipped Costa Maya we were told why.  It was an announcement over the ship's PA, maybe they missed it?

I will also be on the Getaway on 10/22 and am curious about this. I heard about GSC, and I am prepared for that (honestly, I wouldn't mind another sea day right off the bat), but I will be bummed if DR is cancelled, especially if it's not replaced with anything else.

Also, I heard something elsewhere about a stop in Nassau, so I’m curious about that as well. I appreciate any updates you are able to get!
