Internet: Unlimited, but Unusable. Is this unique?

It is almost 11:30.  In Belize today.  ship leaves in 3 hours, so not too many people on board.

We were on Discovery Princess end of February and the internet was the best of all of my 12 cruises

On our Island TA in OCT & Nov the internet was so bad they refunded everyones money. On the Ruby to Hawaii in March it was generally ok. Princess internet is not great ever and marginal most of the time. I wish they would follow RCCL.s lead and go to skylink...it is just like being at home on the desk top

It is 9:15 local time.  We are heading from Belize to Cancun.  College Basketball tournament is on the Big screen , and on a 'Special Chanel' that was added.

It seems to be one of the really bad locations for signal reception.

On my Sapphire cruise to Hawaii in November it was really slow on sea days mostly because that's when everybody is online using up bandwidth.  I got into the habit of getting up at 5:00am every day (I'm an early riser anyway) to check my emails and do my web surfing.  At that time it was great.  Really fast.

10 am in Cozumel.  Crew running drills.  Docked about 7am.

with Starlink moving across the fleet, has the speed increased from 'unusable' to at least tolerable?

We cruise on the Sapphire in a few weeks, and I hope that the speed has increased.  Anyone have any recent experiences with Sapphire, or any other ship anywhere on the planet?  (IS the  starlink adoption fixing the problem?)
