JoRoy218 Posted December 4, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 4, 2022 Will be visiting Aruba for the day end of this month. Anyone know of interesting shops (not typical souvenir/touristy) in local area not too far from cruise pier? Thanks for any suggestions. Also, any rum tasting spots? Rare crewsweeper Posted December 4, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 4, 2022 LG Smith Blvd runs right outside the port. Mostly tourist type shops close to port but other s down further. https://www.visitaruba.com/things-to-do/shopping/ As far as rum tasting, there used to be a couple of places near port but believe they have closed and now do things at resorts. Google Rum tasting in Aruba and you might locate a tour or two.

cleobella Posted February 9, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 9, 2023 There are Aruba Aloe stores all over the island including in the port area. They sell Aloe products ( creams and such) made on the Island. If you get outside the port area they have a factory/farm site about 15 minutes away and do a little tour there which is interesting. Aruba Aloe sells a good quality medical cream for burns and skin irritations that we really like, we stockbup when we visit, and lots of nice bath products.
