Starlink Test

Just a quick post with photos to test the new shipboard Starlink connection. Browsing seems almost normal so I'll see how this works.

Here's a reliable classic...and a martini.

 

The "Deluxe" whale watching excursion. The Skipper and Gilligan said it was safe.

 

Ok... Upgrading took me from 40 - 60 seconds for a page to load here on cruise critic to a couple of seconds per page with uploading photos possible at very acceptable speeds. The premium internet is pretty expensive but if you want good connectivity, it works.

We were on Celebrity Beyond in Nov, and the Starlink on that ship is amazing.

NCLH have signed a contract to roll out Starlink on all of their ships this year, they’ll also be adding it to the Regent and Oceania ships. Rumour is it will be on all the ships by the end of October.
