Transportation from Southampton docks to Southampton Airport

Is it better to book a cab in advance to go from the ship at Southampton to the local airport (to pick up a car rental) or can we count on there being a sufficient number of taxis when we disembark?

No need to book in advance. There'll be plenty of cabs outside the terminal, or there's always Uber.

 I'm guessing this is for car rental from Southampton airport, perhaps Avis?

 

Fare is upwards from £20. 

No difference in fare for either flight or car rental desk.

 

Pre-book f you want to be sure to avoid a line for a taxi (not usually a problem) eg https://westquaycars.com/southampton-to-heathrow/  (ignore the ref to Heathrow in the header, it also quotes for So'ton airport).

BTW Southampton has 5 cruise terminals and Princess use 3 of them - you should find yours at
