Google Voice onboard

Currently on Riviera.  Tried using Google Voice to make a phone call.  The app does not connect to the ship's WiFi.  Anyone have success using the app on Oceania?  The internet manager did not have any answers.  Thanks in advance for your replies.

We were able to use Apple’s Face Time for making wifi calls. If we are calling someone that has an Android phone, we have used the What’sApp app on wifi.   Sorry, can’t answer about Google Voice…

My understanding is that, if you’re trying to make an international call, you need to purchase Google Voice credits. 

Why not Google the topic for options?

For those interested in using Google Voice at sea, I've found that it works when when making a call through my laptop but not through my iphone.  There is a delay but it is free!
