My other favorite on the East side is pretty small, but their drinks are unique and fresh like nothing else on the island. Miami Bar, aka The Liquor Box, aka The Mojito Factory... Singularly one of a kind...PXL_20230207_170419888.thumb.jpg.b3f14bd933da5e12c2853bb4b7f0782c.jpg

The drinks here are as fresh as you can get, and I mean they actually cut the limes and grapefruit right there on the bar in front of you, and squeeze it straight into your cup... Of course I went with the "upgraded" version with Don Julio Reposado... Note how he just turns the bottle upside down and dumps it right in...

They make this seafood soup right there in a little hut beside the bar, and it's outaa this World... I always have to get some when I'm here... I'm still thinking about it right now. Crab, lobster, and shrimp... And the broth is so good you could bathe in it... The wind was blowing, and the stuff was dripping all over my legs while I was eating it, but I just didn't care...

Surely your driver is hauling you around the island in something a little more sizable for the quantity of people.  If not, then you're riding in style and can actually lay down and nap between stops (yes, I fully understand that the island is small and the stops are close together on that side of the island).

Just a small Toyota car... Sometimes he uses a big van, but obviously it's not needed for just me. He's the owner of the tour company, but he always drives me personally...

I figured that was the case, but couldn't pass up the opportunity to comment about a limo outside the place.

It was a long way back to the pier, so we started making our way back around the island past the beach clubs and the two other cruise ship piers. I wanted to pick up a bottle of Controy orange liqueur while I was here, so he was going to take me to a liquor store in one of the back neighborhoods away from the tourist area.
