Miami Post Cruise Car Rental

Which car rental location will be the most efficient in getting a rental after our cruise in Miami?  I hear the locations with shuttles at the port can usually be a couple hour wait.  Would it be better to Uber to the Airport? or a different location?

I would Uber to the MIA airport

I am renting at the airport and will just Uber there after cruise. That way when I drop off next morning we just go straight to airport from car drop off. A tram/shuttle will take you there.

Agreed, go to the airport, especially if you are flying out of the airport anyway. The rental car offices in Downtown are a mad house on the weekends when I pass by.

Take a cab, Uber or Lyft over to the Miami International Airport Rental Car Center which is located directly across from Miami International Airport. Every major rental car company has a office there. So much easier and faster than going to the downtown Miami location.
