I know Medalla has its own bar... Taberna Medalla. But that's not the brewery, which is in Mayaguez.

In old San Juan Cerverceria del Callejon is a small craft beer brewery on Calle San Francisco near Raices restaurant.

In Isla Verde, there's Ocean Lab at the Vivo Beach Club.

Other breweries are scattered around the island but probably not close enough to port for a single day visit.

If you're a craft beer fan, I recommend a visit to a bar called La Taberna Lupulo in Old San Juan. They specialize in local beers and have quite a lengthy selection of draught, cans and bottles. We've been twice over the years and enjoyed both visits. We'll be back in Old San Juan next month for a pre-cruise stay and plan on paying them a third visit! 🙂
