Hello everyone. Going to be in Grand Cayman end of March....few questions...

1) Is there a hotel that will allow cruise ship passengers? (We Use used to go to Royal Beach Club....i believe it is closed?)

2) If yes, suggestions and do I need to reserve before we arrive?

2) Cost

3) Do they rent lounge chairs?

4) Cab ride cost?

Wondering if this will be better then an Excursion to a beach offered by the cruise line.

Thank you!!!

Mike

Yes Royal Palms is closed, and generally no the hotels on SMB don't offer day passes.  The only two I know of that offer day passes are both on the North Sound, the Grand Caymanian and the Holiday Inn.  Both are available through the third party resellers.  Your other option is Coral Beach - https://coralbeach.ky - next door to where Royal Palms used to be.  Or you can DIY at Public Beach (facilities) or any one of the other SMB access points (no facilities).

Thank you! Are there facilities at Coral Beach? (Bar, restaurant,)
Do you know what the cab fare is?
The cruise is offering a $25pp beach day somewhere for 4 hours. Wondering if it is worth it...or do our own thing...

Thanks

Taxi fare to Coral Beach would be the same as what you paid for Royal Palms...they use the RP parking lot.  $5 a person maybe?  The app is saying $16 for up to 4 passengers.

If you go to their website that I linked, it gives you all the info.

Has anyone been to Coral  Beach recently?

I researched to go here--   after looking at Youtube I decided its not for me.    No reason to rent an umbrella as there are ton of trees for shade.   But you have to rent your chairs    here is the one video that made me change my mind
