lvmypug Posted April 5, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2023 (edited) We've taken two northern transatlantics (NYC to Southhampton and Amsterdam to Tampa) and were surprised that daily high temps were in the 40s despite it being July and August. Now we are taking a transatlantic from Florida to Spain in May. Can anyone tell me what to expect for daily temps while in the middle of the atlantic? I know once we arrive temps will be in the 70s but not sure how cold it will be during this more southern crossing. Thanks Edited April 5, 2023 by lvmypug
shipgeeks Posted April 5, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2023 On the three that we have done, most days were sunny and mild, BUT the wind, due to the speed of the ship and not having land to divert the air, made it feel cool a lot of the time. I frequently wore a couple of layers, with long sleeves, if I was out on the open decks. I might also mention that in the Med, on land, we have experienced everything from short-sleeves days (but not shorts) to days in which I wore layers of shirt, fleece, and rain jacket. But I am envious; it is my favorite kind of cruise!
Markanddonna Posted April 5, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2023 The ship is booking it across the Atlantic, so the wind chill enters into our perception. We generally have had nice crossings six times but it isn't the Caribbean.
