Advice please on restaurants off Las Ramblas, in Gothic quarter too

Hi my DW and I will be in Barcelona at the end of the week for a few days before our cruise.

We were hoping for people to chine in with recommendations for food just off Las Ramblas,  and also in the Gothic quarter too please.

There are a myriad of reviews, vlogs etc,  but we are overwhelmed.

We are just looking for a good value non touristy ( overpriced) lunch and dinner in a quaint setting. Tapas fine, pinxots better,  chirros, patissieries etc.

Your  recommendations that don't break the bank are most helpful.

Thanks

El Corte Inglés is a department store with a good food hall.

There is a good and very reasonable tapas restaurant across Casa Batllo on the Passeig de Gracia called TapaTapa. But as the OP says, there are hundreds of options, prices and quality.
