dbjhughes Posted May 11, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2023 Hi. I have heard one report of Princess Cruises doing an unadvertised detour through Prince Christian Sound during a Greenland cruise. Can people report whether this is the norm during their annual Greenland cruises from the UK, or whether the cruise in question was a one-off? Many thanks. Sarnia 432 Posted May 12, 2023 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2023 We were on the Island Princess in August last year, it was magical.
quadsplus1 Posted May 22, 2023 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2023 I was wondering the same. I’m looking at a rd trip from NY itinerary to Greenland on Caribbean Princess . 3 Greenland ports but none of the sea days say scenic cruising. I really want an itinerary that includes PCS. Sarnia 432 Posted May 23, 2023 #4 Share Posted May 23, 2023 This was not on our itinerary, which had us sailing round the outside of Greenland. But the Captain announced he would sail down the sound either that morning, or the night before. It was the highlight of the cruise.
DougH Posted May 23, 2023 #5 Share Posted May 23, 2023 I sailed thru here 20 years ago and IMHO is one of the most spectacular places I've been. And I've sailed 80+ times
