Civitavecchia Lodging!

Anyone have a decent hotel in Civitavecchia regardless of price or proximity to port?  We can find nothing!!!

Still searching...just want to spend 3 nights pre cruise and enjoy seafood and seaside resort!!!!  HELP!!!!

Been traveling in and out of Civitavecchia for over 40 years and am still looking :).  My advice, for three nights, is find a nice place to stay in Rome, and make the trek to Civitavecchia on the day of your cruise.  You can get to Civitavecchia (from Rome) via train (if you can handle your own luggage), a pre-arranged private transfer (consider Romeinlimo or Romecabs) or a taxi.

I strongly second Hank's advice. 

However, if you insist on the seaside, I would recommend staying in Fiumicino or in Ostia. They are very near the airport, have sandy beaches and very good seafood restaurants. They are the closest beaches to Rome and more of a resort with better hotels than Civitavecchia.  It will also be easy to arrange a transfer to the port from there.
