My friend's cabin roommate may cancel....

What's the latest you can remove someone from your reservation? is there a penalty? what happens if he shows up to the ship by himself and his roommate never took his name off? Will they let him on by himself? Travel agent isn't available until tomorrow afternoon, so I figured I'd ask on here.

If you remove your cabin mate from your booking before final payment there is no penalty. If you try to remove them after the trip has been paid for then yes there will be penalties. Now if you show up on the day of your cruise without your roommate you obviously still can sell no problem at all. And if you're a cabin mate does not cancel their name from the booking they just lose out on whatever they contribute it towards the booking.

If the guests still going paid for their own fare it really has no effect on the guests still going on the cruise, you have paid and will be allowed to cruise. If the cancelled guests paid for both fares, you could have an issue.  The no show guests will lose the cruise fare less the port fees if they don't tell Princess Cruises ahead of time. If they do tell will follow cancelation policy.
