MSC VIRTUOSA CHECK IN QUESTION

Hi, just a quick question about this ship and MSC. We are told we cannot give details of our credit card until we get on board, and then you have 48 hours to validate your card at an on board machine. Question is how does this work? and how many machines are there? the thought of 6000 pax queuing for machines is a not alarming.

Just to say we are not new to cruising (14 so far) but never with MSC, who we have found so far to be very unhelpful. Not impressed with the web site either. Cheers Mick

There are a few machines dotted about near to the photo gallery and possibly the next deck down, if you are on Virtuosa, we did our first cruise on there last September and was dreading it like you but it was quick and easy to do, and there wasn’t a queue when we did it even though one machine was down.

it didn’t put us off going on there again this year, we were the same as you not new to cruising but new to MSC, and throughly enjoyed the experience

if not done already get the MSC  app   really handy before and on board

make sure you have a MSC account

do status match if any loyalty anwhere cruise/hotel/airline etc.

Always added CC to all our bookings(5) pre cruise never needed to use any of the machines

You can do it either on the web or the app its part of the pre cruise check in process

If you can't get it done before don't worry there is plenty of time no need to line up just wait

most will have done it before boarding anyway.

No lines 1am to 6am
