Safaga day tours

We are Seniors looking for a day tour from Safaga. Oceania Insignia May 24, 24. Our concern is most on line meet you at port entrance, not cruise pier. Entrance may be a mile away            Anyone with a good recent affordable experience ? Any companies to stay away from?

If this is a tour to Luxor, its 160 miles and over 3 hours away - most of it across desert.

It's one of the rare occasions that we bit the bullet & took ship's tour.

The last ship's bus got back over an hour after scheduled sailaway.

Luxor is well-worth the time & cost.

 

If your aim is Hurghada it's less than an hour and the route not so remote - but it's just a resort town, not a reason to visit Egypt.

We had an overnight stop in Safaga with Norwegian Jade last November. We booked the day tour to Karnak and Valley of the Kings as a private tour for just hubby and me with Ramaside Tours. Pick up/ drop off was right at the pier. Ramaside offers small to medium groupsize tours as well and they all were picked up at the pier right next to the busses for ship excursions.

We just recently used Egypt Tours Portal for our overnight from Safaga to Luxor. Pickup right at the ship. Excellent company and tour guide. Small group, wonderful hotel. Used them in Cairo as well.  We are Seniors too.  Most difficult part of the trip were the aggressive vendors!
