Oh bummer...wish you were sailing on the Viva Transatlantic over Thanksgiving with me instead. I sailed on the Pr1ma Transatlantic last year and had a great time, despite my creaky cabin which I know you are well aware as a Haven Maven.

You always have such a great attitude so you will have a great time. And if not, we all benefit from your colorful reviews.

Oh my gosh! So close...that would have been so much fun to be on the same ship! And yes, I did just look at V!va's Transatlantic sailing. Yep, I can't cancel and go there. The same room price is 1/3rd higher than Pr1ma. I didn't think I'd be sailing Pr1ma for five years, but we found a heck of a deal for this Transatlantic. Honestly, the price isn't bad for V!va over 11 days, but a wee bit more than we'd want to pay for now.

And, thank you! That is very kind of you. I'm afraid my personality onboard is more boring than my Cruise Critic Haven Maven persona. Gotta switch it up, ya know!

We must compare the turkey on Thanksgiving Day!

Also, are you still onboard a ship somewhere?

Yes, we shall compare turkeys on Thanksgiving Day. 😂

I disembarked from the Dawn last Thursday and then stayed in London for a few more days, visited Brighton and the Cotswolds. It was a great 15-day port intensive cruise around the British Isles...kissed the Blarney Stone and searched for the elusive Nessie (I saw a shadow but alas I was not quick enough with the camera).

@cruiseny4life I understand your preference for La Cucina's menu, but I do recommend giving Onda a chance. Onda and Palomar were standouts for me on the Pr1ma. Indulge was also great to be able to choose from different types of cuisine. But sadly, there was no banana pudding at Q.

In the unlikely event you stay past your 9:00 PM bedtime and wish to attend a show in the theater at the last minute, you can either queue up in the standby line or join the virtual queue from the app approximately one hour prior to showtime. However, I am sure your concierge can also assist.

If you are in Haven on the Pr1ma, I see no reason for the Vibe pass. Also, though it might be different on your Transatlantic route, on mine last year, Vibe was closed for most of the journey due to inclement weather.

Be prepared for the sound of heavy weights crashing down above your head while relaxing on your heated stone lounger in the thermal spa suite. Despite that annoyance, I still enjoyed the thermal suite with the different treatment rooms and warm pools.

Anywho....I was hoping to find $1 tables in Vegas like I used to find at the Sahara back in the day of 2010. I'm guessing I'll probably be disappointed which means I'll be outside the Bellagio watching that amazing fountain again.

The fountains are amazing... You may find a $1 during the day at some run-down worn out casino somewhere, but don't hold your breath. You'll struggle to find an open spot at a $5 table these days...

Vegas used to be cheap to make up for all the money you could lose there. Suddenly they all realized everyone would still go if they raised prices to normal, and started charging $50 resort fees at all the hotels. I think many of the casinos now also charge for parking.

I used to go a lot in my youth. We had a group that would decide on a whim to make the 5-6 hours  drive after work, gamble all night, and then get a $10 room around noon the next day to sleep until we drove home. We'd be sure to hit up the $1 buffets, and/or $1 steak-and-egg breakfast. Most of the more gambling friendly places on the strip are gone now (Barabary coast, slots of fun, stardust...) I much prefer downtown Fremont street for gambling now.  When we went this last trip the only place we found a $5 table with space for both of us was at Excalibur, and that place is what I mentioned above as run-down worn-out casino...
