A table with a view on Equinox

Hi friends,

Are you assigned a table in the Equinox Silhouette dining room? On other cruise lines we could select our table, and had amazingly great tables by the window with a view…watched dolphin chasing fish one afternoon!

Thanks,

Mary😉

They place you, however you maybe able to change it once you find out where they seat you.

It’s usually dark anyway, except for our recent Scandinavian cruise.

Wife work at Banff Spring hotel , and they use laugh when people ask for a window seat

A maître d’ would say people want to look at the dark while having dinner 🤣

Maybe the OP eats dinner at 5:00 , it usually still light out as we at the Sunset bar 😁

I guess 7 pm, end of October... it is dark by then.... oh well.

Oh, Baniff Springs Hotel! Love it! Went for lunch- amazing views!!

Enjoyed a long weekend there.... 😀 Now our suite was in the "basement"!  🤪

Still, such a beautiful area.. Lake Louise!!

Hoping to book an Alaska cruise for next year with Banff and the Rocky Mountaineer. Banff and Lake Louise look beautiful.

My DW has PTSD and moderate anxiety and sitting in the middle of the room, on the main walkways and near the servers areas triggers her pretty badly. We always ask to be seated on the edges of the dining room away from these areas. This would be the same for MDR, BLU or Luminae. Her preferred location would include the walls or the window and while it may be dark, there are not people bumping into her or constantly walking past her. Sometimes it's about a more quiet place to sit.

We had anytime dining. On the first night my husband and I were seated in an area tucked behind a large boisterous group.  The following night we asked for a quiet location and were seated by the window. We had the same table for the duration of the cruise, although a few times we waited a few minutes for the table. Ask politely for what you need and I think it will work out.  If you have a set dining time go to the dining room on embarkation day and see where you've been assigned.  If it isn't to your liking, ask for what you want.
