Can you change the cabin # after winning a bid?

We have placed a bid on a balcony cabin for our cruise in October. Several bids have expired but the balcony one says pending. Lots of availability in balconies and none in our current category. If we win and get assigned a cabin can we request a different cabin # in the same category or are we locked into the one they give us?

From the move up FAQ:

"Q6: Can I choose the location or specific features of the upgrade cabin?
A6: No, your cabin location and attributes will depend on availability. Celebrity cannot guarantee a specific cabin number assignment within the
upgraded category."

I guess it wouldn't hurt to call and ask to see if they'd be willing to switch the cabin number after assignment 🤷‍♂️ Worst thing that could happen is they say no

We have been able to call celebrity after winning a move up bid and being able to change to a different stateroom in the same category.
Good Luck!

We were able to change cabins after winning the bid.  Called the number on the bid confirming email after checking which cabins in that category were still open (if not on X site, then google "scanning the seas").  They were happy to make the change for us.

It is possible if rooms are available after the upgrade.    Usually this is not an option as they upgrade all the cabins and much of the time all the cabins that are open are filled.    Also they often don't upgrade until just before they lock the reservation system for the cruise (about 48-72 hours prior to the cruise).

Once on-board you could ask if you can switch cabins.

As said, if there are cabins available you can switch.  We bid to Aqua from concierge.  We changed the room and changed the category, but down.  We were in a A1 and wanted an A2 (better location for us, YMMV).  They were able to do it, but it took a little while as she had manually adjust the price.
