Fire at the Pattaya floating market in Thailand

First, I want to say how tragic the news is of the the fire at the floating market in Thailand and wish for safety of all involved.  We are heading to a cruise from Singapore in November and that was one of the excursions we were taking when we arrived in Thailand.  This is horrible news for the people and I pray for all involved.

I'm deeply saddened to learn of the disastrous fire at the famous floating market in Thailand. What a heartbreaking situation for all involved. While I'm sure visiting the floating market would have been a highlight of your upcoming trip, I hope you'll still have a wonderful trip exploring Thailand's many other attractions and cultural gems. Was the fire at the Damneon Saduak, the largest and most colorful floating market in the Kingdom of Siam?  We have a tour that is supposed to go there in February 2024.

No.  This was in Pattaya, closer to the port of Laem Chabang (where ships dock for Bangkok.  Damneon Sauak is close to a 4 hour drive from the port, so the Pattaya Floating Market was a more manageable trip.
