No early dining waitlist, or option. Still possible?

Upcoming cruise. I'm a booked guest in a grand suite. There's no option for the 5:30 PM dining time. Has anyone had any success getting this?

 

I usually do YourTime but wanted to try something consistent out.

Go to the main dining room on embarkation day, the maitre'd will be there. Suite guests get priority dining reservations (still not a guarantee they'll have space).
