Airlines and 3 legged cane with seat

My DH and I are about to embark on a cruise, hauling a 3-legged cane with folding seat for the first time. He’s concerned about how those are handled by Delta. My thought is that he carries it on the plane and it gets stored by the cabin crew. Please help me set his mind at ease.

I took a Tada cane seat on airlines and a cruise without problem. It was really helpful for standing in lines or then sitting in lines. I used it for bad knee arthritis and low back pain. My husband has CHF and fatigue and can sit on it in a big box store if he needs to rest. On the airline i put it in the seat against the window with me, and I think I had room in the overhead bin once. Seattle wanted me to put it through a different scanner going through security which I did. I will say if you get this that it is fine on indoor floors or concrete, but I used it on the grass once and lost 2 feet when it sunk in.

I don’t use it for balance but to rest and sit on it. I would take it again in a minute.
