ann141 Posted January 1 #1 Share Posted January 1 We are considering booking an Ambassador cruise that departs from Bristol. We will be travelling by train but the Ambassador website states it's best to get a taxi from Temple meads station. As it's a distance of about 12 miles to the port I wonder if anyone has experience of getting there from central Bristol by public transport
AlanCruise Posted January 16 #2 Share Posted January 16 You can't walk into the port, you can get public transport nearby but will still probably need a local taxi for the final section. There is a bus service (X4) from Bristol Bus Station to a bus stop about .half a mile from the port Entrance or to the centre of Portishead where the entrance is about 3 miles away - more likely to be able to get a taxi from Portishead. In a few years time there may even be a train service to Portishead!
cshim Posted April 14 #3 Share Posted April 14 It's a long way from the port entrance to the cruise terminal. A taxi is probably better
