Which cabin young kids

Booking a cruise for later this year but not sure which option would be better for us. Only cruised once, 6 years ago, without kids.

Kids will be 5 and 2. Friends are booking deck 8 balcony, we can get 5 door up from them with balcony. Or a deck 1 ocean view.

Is the extra cost worth paying for deck 8 near friends.. or is balcony to risky, noisy etc for kids that age?

Theres no interior options above deck 2, so that's out.

Welcome to Cruise Critic!

We are CFBC, but I think you will have a more relaxed vacation with an OV. What cruiseline and ship has no insides above Deck 2? Or did you mean no OV's on higher decks?

Very few members check this board. If you reply with cruiseline I can give you its URL.

Hey thanks for the reply, they're all sold out of interior rooms for 4 people above deck 2. Plenty of rooms for 2 but the moment I change to 4 there's nothing.

It'll be the carnival splendor from Australia

There are other decks with balcony available but if we went with that I'd rather be near friends.

Thanks for the explanation! Here is the Celebrity board:

https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/16-celebrity-cruises/

Also the "cruising with kids" forum:

https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/28-family-cruises/

Probably a lot of pertinent info to browse there!

And while I'm at it, Australian (and NZ) cruising:

I hope everything works just fine and you ALL have a great time!
