Mediterranean Odyssey- Embarkation in Venice (Fusina) question

We are currently shown to be docking at Fusina for our Venice embarkation. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with this, and if there’s any opportunity to get over to Venice on the embarkation day after checking in to the ship? We have air and transfers through Viking, so coming in that morning.  Itinerary shows us leaving Venice the next day at 3:00, so obviously not a lot of time to spend in Venice that day.  Would I have liked to arrive a few days earlier? Yes, but unfortunately that wasn’t not an option for us.  TIA for any info.
