Tips, tricks, and not-to-miss on the Jewel?

Booked the Arctic Circle and Norwegian Fjords cruise on the Jewel of the Seas next June. Really excited about the itinerary and am finding lots of ideas on the port forums. Although I am long time Royal cruiser and have cruised this class several times, I have not been on recently. Would love to hear more about what to do on cruise days and evenings from those who have been on more recently, e.g., don’t miss things to do, favorite areas of the ship, speciality dining tips, other hacks or tips. Thanks in advance!

Cruises on the Jewel are more old school than new- no real "features", but things that happen on every cruise- shows in the theater, events in the centrum, guitar player in the pub, piano in the Schooner Bar, and some other events in the Safari Club.  There is a small cinema that is fun to see movies in.  And if the pool tables work, those are interesting.  

 

Maybe they will heat the Solarium to hang out in.  

 

But, for us, the "lack" of stuff helps us pay more attention to where we are going.  Sometime after you get off, we will take the TA to Iceland and Greenland- which should be really cool.

Try the pool tables.  If they're working the gyroscopes on the pool tables keep them level even if everything else is moving.   Lots of fun. @alfaeric we'll see you on the TA.  Also on the cruise to Norway and Arctic Circle.
