Business Center on Smeralda?

I will be traveling on Smeralda March 3. I will need computer access. Is there a business center with computer access on the ship? I can't find anything on the Costa Website. I can bring my laptop if needed - but have concerns about damaging it if using a power converter. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Costa provides generally have two kinds of sockets, European multi plug fitting 220 V (types C, E, F and L, British type G and Swiss type J doesn't match) and those fitting US types A and B 110 V, both 60 Hz. All cabins are equipped like this, throughout the ships you can find mostly the European type.

Thank you for your help. That's great that they generally have both kinds of sockets. Do you know if there is a business center on the ship?

You are welcome. I never sailed on the Smeralda, but on all Costa ships I sailed with there is a library with computers. But I don’t know whether this is still so on the two newest ships, because more and more people bring their own laptop and many more just use their mobiles for using the internet.

Thanks again. Would like to lighten my load and not bring my laptop. But then, it is a big ship and computers might be busy. Probably best to just bring it. 🙂
