Princess Cays - Can I escape?

Princess Cays - I’ve heard it’s meh at best. Are we allowed to leave the port area to explore the rest of Eleuthra?  If yes, what do you recommend?  Thanks!

It was probably 10 years ago when we were there but I didn't see a way to leave. We even got in trouble for snorkeling too far from shore. They said the captain said we had to go back to shore.

Yes you can go out of the gate, there is a row of vendors out there. I wasn’t looking for a taxi, so I can’t help there.

There is really no place to go outside Princess area. It’s really just a beach day opportunity not an island exploration opportunity. Not near any towns. We’ve always enjoyed it for what it is. Beautiful beach and beautiful water. That’s what we are there for.
