Anchorage Hotel Recommendations

Will arrive night before 9/1 Nieuw Amsterdam from Whittier.  Please help with hotel ideas. We will be taking the train so close to the station is a plus. Thanks.

Lots of hotels near the train station. The biggest question is how much are you willing to pay for a hotel. Anchorage hotels are pricey at best. We stayed midtown at a hotel with an airport shuttle then the next morning were able to join a shuttle to the train station.

Fairfield Inn Midtown. The shuttle to the train isn’t a guaranteed thing but we were lucky that day. It was a perfectly adequate hotel, we would stay again.

Upvote #3 post if you want to stay in hotel.  There are two apartments downtown on airbnb for about $100 less with excellent reviews that I would recommend also, but they would be a number of blocks from the RR.
