I have started my next review for my cruise that leaves on Monday. I would love to have you all join me again as I set sail from a new port with a couple new ports!

Looks like I missed a couple replies 😮 Sorry about that! Thank you so much for following along and for all your kind words. It was great meeting you and then finding out you were reading my review without knowing it was me. Hope you enjoy your time on Oasis, she is a great ship and I miss her already!

Missed your reply before too! Sorry about that. Yes, he was a great singer for sure. Not exactly what I am looking for from a piano man, but he was really really talented none the less. He was also very friendly and said hello several times when we saw each other around the ship. Very great guy.

 

Hope you enjoyed your week onboard as much as I did and that the casino was in your favor!

I can't complain! We hit the 4k point level after night 2 and since nothing was on the 6500 level, called it quits in the casino and booked an 8 nt on oasis next February down to Aruba. Lost about $900 total to get it. Worst part was I was at 3,100 pts needing 900 more, and we were up like $500 at the time, but that final 900 points was rough.

Not too shabby. That was the exact reason I didn't shoot for the next tier, didn't want to ruin my small gains chasing the next set of comps. I have not pulled the trigger yet but I think I am going to book an 8 day on Adventure next January. Not the most exciting ship, but it's 8 days and out of Port Canaveral. And who knows, I may end up loving it. I love Mariner, didn't care for Explorer. Hoping it is more like Mariner but it's older and not gotten any upgrades so worry it will be like Explorer but either way, not a bad choice especially considering I didn't do too badly in the casino.

Late to the party, but thanks for sharing your experience on Oasis! I will be sailing her twice this year and your review has left me very excited about the ship and the food.

 

Also, for some reason, I'm now craving a big slice of cake. I think maybe it was the red velvet from Chops that did it...

Not even a big red velvet fan but that one is so so good 😍.

I got a casino certificate on our February Anthem cruise we chose the Adventure 8 day Jan 24th 2025

On either this, or on any previous Royal Caribbean cruises, what has been your experience with the additional expense for any service charges, including beverage and dining, and all gratuities?

 

Were you able to pay for these charges up front or will you be charged at the end of your cruise?  

 

Do you have any idea how much additional cost this will add to your basic cabin reservation?
