Water and Red Bull question

Going on cruise in a week…

So I looked online and carnival says you can’t bring anything on the ship.

then I called to ask about room upgrades and the lady I spoke to said you can bring a 12 pack of water/redbull per person as long as it’s not plastic bottles.  Then another lady said you can’t bring anything.

you can on Royal, anyone know first hand, can you bring anything?  Sometimes the security guard won’t let you sometimes they couldn’t care less but hearing different things from multiple people plus the website is confusing.

You can bring cans of non-alcoholic beverages -- nothing in plastic.  I believe the can size is limited to 12 oz.

Carnival Policy:    On embarkation day, a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, energy drinks, juice, and milk), packaged in cans or cartons, may be brought on board and must be in the guest's carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12-ounces/354-ml each or less, per person

Yes, you can bring a 12 pack of sealed 12oz (or less) non-alcoholic cans per person on board at embarkation as well as in each port if you like.  On our October cruise we brought a 12 pack of Coke Zero and a 12 pack of Red Bull on at embarkation.  It was a 15 day cruise so we also restocked once we got to Hawaii.

I've brought Red Bull on before without issue. As for water - personally, I'd just buy the water from Carnival directly (yes it costs a little more than the store) but do you really want to lug it from car/uber to terminal thru security, up the gangway, onto the ship and to your room to save roughly $5 give or take.
