World Cruise on Serenade from Bay of Islands to Sydney

Royal Carribbean’s World Cruise  on Serenade of the Seas is due to leave Bay of Islands, New Zealand  tomorrow evening and arrive in Sydney on Friday.  
 

Just curious, will it pass by close to any of our coastline on the way to Sydney? (I’ve not paid attention to ship routes Sydney to NZ or vice versa before).

I would think it would come directly for Sydney harbour unless there are smoother seas with a slightly less direct approach.

+1. Once they have cleared the North Island, it is normally a straight line from there to the pilot boarding area off Sydney Heads.

Apparently they had big seas after leaving Bay of Islands.

Very likely. Majestic Princess missed Bay of Islands & Auckland over the previous two days. Tauranga is their first port today, and it looks stunning.
