“Due to extensive pier damage caused by a recent incident involving another cruise ship at the port in Ocho Rios, Berth 2 will be closed for restoration work.  Falmouth will replace this as a POC on the same date as the originally scheduled stopover” according to an email I’ve received from MSC.

Carnival Magic crashed into one of the piers at Ocho Rios about a month ago and that has caused all kinds of lines and ships to miss the port since. It was all over the cruise news when it happened. Unfortunately, there is nothing that MSC can do about this. It's nice they were able to at least replace the stop rather than cancel a port day altogether.

Having been to Ocho Rios, for us Falmouth is a new POC (though I get the impression that it’s not any better than OR).  We’ll probably just enjoy the day onboard the ship.  We’re quite used to POCs being missed/replaced.

Was just there a week and a half ago on Seascape.

Actually a very nice contained port. Plenty of shops and a craft market.

Actually much nice than OR.

Once you leave the gated area it becomes a little less....nice.

Get off for a half hour or so and walk around.

Thanks.  I’d read something similar on the POC boards.  The port area sounds very nice, alright. 👍
