Mini Suite and Suite Customers Cruising together for a new Cruiser

Recommended Posts

We are new to Princess and have a question about perks.  We are sailing Mini-Suite.  Our Daughter and family are cruising Vista suite.  Are we going to be able to dine together?    Or, do we need to upgrade to Reserve Mini-Suite in order to dine with them?

Princess rep told us we can dine together, but it seems like they will have to "downgrade" to join us with reservations at dining venues.  I'm afraid that we won't be able to join them.

Anyone with experience?

Thanks/

You can all dine together in the main dining room. Suite guests can have their meals in the Reserve dining room and you would need to up-grade to a Reserve mini-suite or a full suite to join them.

You will have two choices to dine together. They can join you in the MDR and not use their suite dining perk for some meals. Also they can order room service from the full MDR menu during MDR hours of operation. If they do so, they can order room service for all of you to eat in their suite. However, the room service delivers the entire meal at one time - not in courses. I would not recommend ordering ice cream for desert.

If you upgrade to a Reserve mini-suite, then you can have meals together. You would still not be able to join them for the special suite breakfast in Sabatini's or another specialty restaurant.

They will have a complimentary specialty restaurant meal on embarkation evening. You can join them if you wish, but you would have to pay for your meal (unless you have Premier).

Another thing to know is that the reserve dining menu is the same except for one additional item, but I believe that service is better in the reserve section and no need to make reservations.

You can dine together but they will miss out on the elevated dining for suite passengers. Princess has never (as a general policy, anyway) allowed suite passengers to bring traveling companions in a lower level cabin into the suite dining with them. They will have to "downgrade" to eat with you.
