Kineticoh20 Posted May 4 #1 Share Posted May 4 Doing first btb, what is policy for bringing wine/champagne for a btb? Can I bring 4 bottles? Can they hold 2 for second leg? Hoping to not need to leave terminal on turn around day.
Astro Flyer Posted May 4 #2 Share Posted May 4 Our experience on B2B cruises is we bring the allotted 2 bottles per person at embarkation. I have brought proof of our B2B cruises however have never been questioned about it & when they read Medallions they know we’re on a B2B. Even if bringing more wine we’re prepared to pay corkage on additional bottles however have never been charged. Nearly all of our wine is consumed in dining rooms where it’s also subject to the corkage fee. Whether that’s charged has varied based on our waitstaff’s decision to charge or not…ether way it’s good for us.
suzyed Posted May 4 #3 Share Posted May 4 (edited) Just a note: You may be charged the $20 corkage fee at embarkation OR in the dining room not both. So if you pay at embarkation they put a sticker on it and when you take it to the dining room they will note that you already paid the corkage. If you don't pay ahead of time and you take it to the MDR you will/may be charged the corkage then. Not sure how you would arrange this for a B2B so that you would get the 2 free bottles on the second leg. In any case, although you get 2 free at embarkation (1 per person), if you take them to the dining room you most likely will be charged the corkage....as the 2 free are meant to be enjoyed in your cabin.
