Boston embarkation

Recommended Posts

Hi

DH and I will be cruising out of Boston at the end of August on the Emerald. Our last two cruises were out of Fort Lauderdale where  embarkation was very smooth. Any helpful tips going out of Boston? As we live 2-3 hours away, we will be using a car service that morning. We will fly back from Canada at the end of the trip. Thanks in advance.

There are two lines for embarkation, one to drop your luggage, and one to enter the terminal. You might get lucky that the porters will go through the second line to get bags, but it's not a guarantee.

We have sailed from Boston seven times on a different line, that shouldn't matter. We try not to arrive to early because the line is very slow. Even if we have priority boarding you still need to get upstairs to check in.

Enjoy Boston.
