redrobin Posted March 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2006 On the Millennium, what is the difference between these staterooms? I see 2A is higher and slightly more expensive, then 2B, then 2C. Are the 2A cabins more desirable? Any difference in the cabin balconies between these decks as far as being covered/uncovered? On the deck plans, it looks like some of the 2Bs are more mid-ship and may be a better selection. Thanks!
sasset Posted March 26, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2006 We have been in 2C on Millenium and 2A and B on Infinity (same deck plan). The cabins are all the same. They only vary by deck and position fore/aft. Higher deck higher categaory. Many of the 2C on deck 6 are close to midship. Veranda's are mostly all the same too. There are a few anomalies of verandas being larger due to their location on the deck, but it seems to have very little to do with being an A, B or C. If they are one of the odd larger ones, they may be partially uncovered. The official 38 square feet portion will be covered. Regards
redrobin Posted March 26, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted March 26, 2006 Thanks for the helpful answer! So, there's really no benefit to paying more for a 2A cabin if you'd prefer to be midship? Are there any advantages to being on the higher decks?
Brucemcdou Posted March 26, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2006 Are there any advantages to being on the higher decks? Hi, Redrobin - the 2C's on deck 6 (Penthouse deck) in the mid-ship area are right above the lifeboats so they're in your field of vision when you're on the balcony. They don't block your view by any means but you can't miss the bright orange roofs! Conversely, being mid-ship on deck 6 is really convenient to go down the stairs to Cova, the Martini Bar, etc. rather than taking the elevator. Some prefer higher decks for larger vistas, and some prefer to be closer to the pool, spa, and buffet. Others prefer the (slightly) smoother ride on the lower decks and mid-ship. As Sasset mentions, there are some larger balconies, most notably the 2Cs at the front of deck 6. Do a search for the threads that list all the oversized balconies; some even include pictures. Only the balconies are larger, the cabins are the same inside.
